This policy sets out what you may and may not do when using SetU to collect payments from your customers. It applies to every organisation and user on the platform, alongside our Terms of Service.
You may only use SetU for lawful purposes related to running your organisation. You are responsible for ensuring your products, services, events and fundraising comply with all applicable Australian laws — including your tax obligations. You are the seller of record for what you sell, and it is your responsibility to determine whether you must register for GST, to charge it, and to remit it. See “Tax on your sales” in our Terms of Service.
You must not sell or collect payment for: illegal, counterfeit, stolen or recalled goods; weapons, explosives or regulated firearms; illicit drugs, drug paraphernalia, or unapproved therapeutic goods; tobacco, vaping or alcohol to minors; adult or sexually explicit services; gambling or lotteries without a licence; financial, pyramid or get-rich-quick schemes; or anything that infringes intellectual property or deceives the buyer.
You must provide accurate business and contact details (including a reachable phone number and email) and keep them current. You must describe what you sell truthfully and fulfil orders and registrations as advertised.
You must not facilitate fraudulent transactions, money laundering, or transactions on behalf of an undisclosed third party. Excessive chargebacks or disputes may result in review or suspension.
SetU may suspend or terminate an organisation’s ability to take payments — immediately and without notice where necessary — if we reasonably believe this policy has been breached, payments present undue risk, or we are required to by a payment provider or law. Suspension blocks new store checkouts and event registrations.
